Literary skills, although rough at the beginning, are practiced and honed throughout your University experience.  Conversing with teachers, fellow classmates, or the "girl down the street" could pose a problem if you are not brushed up on proper etiquette and a handful of useful "ice breakers."   Practicing in front of a mirror will always add to the effectiveness of your delivery.
